PFC 로코모티프 타슈켄트(우즈베크어: Lokomotiv Toshkent Professional futbol klubi, Локомотив Тошкент футбол клуби, 러시아어: Футбольный клуб Локомотив Ташкент)는 타슈켄트를 연고로 하는 우즈베키스탄의 축구 클럽이다.
Lokomotiv Tashken is a professional football club based in Tashken, Uzbekistan.
History:
Lokomotiv Tashken was founded in 1926. The club enjoyed success in the Soviet period, winning the Uzbek SSR Championship on three occasions (1938, 1940, 1949).
After Uzbekistan gained independence in 1991, Lokomotiv became one of the leading clubs in the country. The club won the Uzbek League title four times (1992, 1993, 1994, 2002) and the Uzbek Cup three times (1992, 1993, 2002).
Lokomotiv Tashken has also represented Uzbekistan in the continental competitions. The club reached the semi-finals of the Asian Cup in 1993 and the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup in 1994.
Recent years:
In recent years, Lokomotiv Tashken has struggled to compete with the top clubs in Uzbekistan. The club finished eighth in the Uzbek League in 2021.
However, Lokomotiv Tashken remains one of the most popular clubs in Uzbekistan. The club has a large and loyal fan base, and its matches are always well-attended.
