Founded in 2009 as a merger between Tårnby Boldklub and AB 70, it is affiliated to the regional football association, DBU Copenhagen. The team plays its home matches at Tårnby Stadium where it has been based since its foundation. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000.
On 1 January 2009, Tårnby Boldklub merged with neighboring Amager Boldklub af 1970 (AB70), and the new association was named AB Tårnby.
